SNL's Version of Rahm Emanuel's Apology

Update: I screwed up the earlier post, here's the actual fake Rahm apology:

In case you didn't hear, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel used a derogatory term associated with those with mental disabilities when speaking privately about some liberals. Rightfully so, some, if not all, with loved ones with mental disabilities, like Sarah Palin, took offense. Emanuel apologized. Here's SNL's version of Emanuel's apology:

Here's the actual video of Representative (and moron wingnut) Joe Wilson (R-SC) heckling the President of the United States of America by yelling, "you lie."

After this moron Joe Wilson heckles President Obama make sure to notice the looks on VP Biden and Speaker Pelosi's faces. If someone makes Biden look down and shake his head in disgust then that person is truly an idiot. And apparently Wilson immediately called Rahm Emanuel after the president's speech to apologize. I would have loved to have listened to that conversation.

What if a Democrat had done what Wilson did during one of W.'s speeches when he was feeding us a pile of lies regarding Iraq? What would the GOP's reaction have been? The nation's?

Some hyperbolic, fanatical, fear mongering liars oppose health insurance reform. Apparently Joe Wilson is one of them. Update: There's already fallout from Purdum's Vanity Fair article about Palin inside the beltway among GOP operatives as detailed in this Politico.com article. This seems to be more of the GOP circular firing squad that convened immediatly after the presidential election last year.

Somewhere, Rahm Emanuel is smiling.

Rahm Emanuel's (Fake) Reaction to New Polls About the GOP*

*Two polls came out last week that showed the poor state of the GOP. The first Gallup poll showed that 38% of Republicans had a an unfavorable view of their own party. The second Gallup poll showed that when asked to name a leader of the GOP 10% of Republicans said Rush Limbaugh and another 10% said Newt Gingrich. Those two had the largest percentages of anyone named by Republicans polled. Apparently, Gov. Palin was not mentioned by even 2% of Republicans surveyed. Surely Rahm Emanuel is pleased.
