In the future juke boxes are sentient robots than communicate thru song lyrics. Juke Box Hero (the protagonist) is on a quest to save his fellow juke boxes from the evil human overloads that see juke boxes as obsolete and are attempting to eradicate their kind in favor of digital music that humans control, manipulate and change at their whim. Juke Box Hero "has stars in his eyes" meaning he can shoot laser beams out of his eyes that are as hot as the surface of the sun.

Some Very Funny Unfunny Stuff...
Here's a clip of a very funny, unfunny stand-up routine from Britain's Got Talent:
Which of course made me think of the one of the funniest unfunny bits ever, Norm MacDonald's roast of Bob Saget:
And I was watching an episode of Supernatural when I was posting the above and the episode ended with the song Dear Mr. Fantasy, a song I really like, so, for a non-sequitur, here's that:

Weird Children's Show Stuff From Years Past, #2
More from the Muppet Show, here's a drum battle between Animal and Buddy Rich (like any kid would know who the heck Buddy Rich was). And the lesson? If you lose your drum battle, resort to violence:

Weird Children's Show Stuff From Years Past, #1
Remember the Muppet Show? I know I sure do. And I used to enjoy the musical numbers, I really liked the ones with just the Muppets. Here's one that I always remembered. Probably because it was so freakin' dark, especially for a young kiddo. What they heck were they showing us?!?! Were they trying to scare the crap out of us?:

The Scariest Thing I've Seen In a While
I was flipping channels and stopped for a good 2 minutes on a PBS broadcast of "Celtic Thunder: Entertainment!" while some weird group, dressed in tuxedos, with a karaoke-caliber lead singer performed that "I Would Walk 500 Miles" song from years ago. Then I shook myself out of the trance the show had me in and change...d the channel quickly. It scared me badly. Still not sure what the lasting effect will be.

This REALLY Gets On My Nerves For Some Reason
Yes, I watched the Academy Awards last night. And at least twice last night, that I recall, presenters said Avatar is the top grossing movie of all time. As I've written before, if you adjust for ticket price inflation, Avatar is nowhere near the top. When you adjust for ticket price inflation you get a number that at least approximates the number of tickets actually sold. And that means Avatar (Dances With Blue Aliens) is at best number 11 when adjusted for ticket price inflation.
Why do I dislike Avatar? Because I dislike James Cameron. Why? Because I blame him for bolstering the career of one Celine Dion (cue the song from Titanic in your head, "Near, far, wherever you are..."). See, you don't like it either.
I'll leave you with this. Celine Dion walks into a bar, the bartender says, "why the long face?"

"Chris Brown Outraged That Stores Are Not Carrying His New Album"*
So, what's Chris Brown going to do about it? Assault and batter Walmart?
*Quote from an EW.com article about same.
Don't forget why some stores might consider boycotting Brown's newest album.
And yes, this is one of those Non-Political Thoughts Now (NPTN's).

Separated At Birth?
Which of these two people, pictured above, once got busy in a Burger King bathroom? Or, have you ever seen Greg "Shock G" Jacobs, aka, Humpty Hump, and Michael Steele in the same room at the same time? I know I have not.
One of the above is a confused, blind, stubborn, elderly man. The other is Mr. Magoo.

NPTN (Non-Political Thoughts Now)...
Every once in a while I'll share NPTN's (Non-Political Thoughts Now), this is one of those instances.
If the score for 2001: A Space Odyssey had been performed by a bad high school band it might have sounded something like this, somehow I don't think any of those performing got into Julliard (you'll need your volume turned up):

Impressions Galore!
Some are better than others. Some, I swear, if you looked away from the screen you would not be able to tell they weren't the real deal.
Last but certainly not least, the fake "Star Wars" audition tapes, impressions include some great by Kevin Spacey:
Aires Spears does impersonations of a slew of rappers in this medley:
Next here's this kid, whose natural voice is startling, doing Stewie Griffen from "Family Guy":
This comedian, Reggie Reg I believe, does a number of impersonations but his Denzel Washington is the best one if you ask me:
This guys sounds and looks like Howard Stern a bit too much:
Matt Damon impersonating Matthew McConaughey:

The Yodeling Monkey on Craig Ferguson
For those not familiar with Craig Ferguson's program he sometimes does a puppet monkey thing as the lead-in that comes on right after Letterman. Well, I saw this, the yodeling monkey puppet, last night and had an out loud, crying, extended laugh. Some may not think it's funny. Well I do, so there, and I fart in your general direction if you don't find it funny.

FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS
Just in case you haven't heard of them, here's a couple of their songs from their HBO series. Funny and good music. They're second season on HBO should be starting soon. I believe the first season is out on DVD and the album is on itunes.
Here's a live performance of "The Humans Are Dead":

Coldplay Rips Off(Allegedly) Small Brooklyn Band Called "Creaky Boards"???
Creaky Boards released their song in 2007 before Coldplays' "Vida La Vida", which was released in 2008:
One problem for Creaky Boards and Coldplay though, Joe Satriani released his instrumental, "If I Could Fly" in 2004. Whoops.
Why is this of note? This could turn into a nasty lawsuit with millions of dollars at stake. Just ask the Verve what happened when they sampled, "too much," of a Rolling Stones song, even though the Verve had been given permission ahead of releasing "Bittersweat Symphony" to sample part of the Stones song, "The Last Time".
